The Wild Within Collection

My work is organised into collections, each exploring recurring themes of energy, emotion and connection. These series reflect the evolution of my practice and the ideas that underpin my paintings.

The Wild Within is a series of expressive animal paintings exploring the energies we recognise in nature and in ourselves. Each piece is led by instinct and movement: layered marks, charged colour, and areas where the subject and background breathe into one another. That merging is intentional, a reminder that nothing exists in isolation. We’re part of the same living field.

These works aren’t about perfect realism. They’re about embodied energy. About what an animal holds within — steadiness, courage, gentleness, resilience — and how those qualities can be felt in a room, not just seen. Every painting in the collection is an invitation to connect: to the wild, to your own inner landscape, and to the intelligence that runs through all life.
